Yasmine Abdelsalam Harmouch
I carry a wing
no one can see,
hidden beneath
the weight of ordinary days.
I have crossed nights
that forgot my name,
and walked through silence
without losing my voice.
They told me
some dreams are too distant,
but I learned
that distance is only another word
for courage.
So I rise—
not because the sky
promised me a place,
but because my heart
refused to remain on the ground.
And if tomorrow
opens its doors,
I will enter quietly,
carrying all the broken pieces
that once taught me
how to fly.
